Trumps online group called it a declaration of war

“Stop the Steal”: When Donald Trump and the American Revolution became a War (and the United States will never unite again”

The words “RIP America” trended on X minutes after a jury in Manhattan found former president Donald Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts for falsifying business records in connection to a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

The 2020 Stop the Steal movement co-opted the flag as a symbol of distress, leading to anger from Trump supporters, right-wing pundits and politicians.

The remarks were a mixture of self-defense and defense of his guilty verdict. Several times, he slammed the court and President Joe Biden at the same time, seeking to falsely connect the two.

“As of today, with this fake guilty verdict against Trump, America is no longer the United States,” writes Joey Marianno, a pro-Trump political commentator. I have no desire to see this country to unify. No country can unite. We are long past that.”

Many people who advocated for the “Stop the Steal” idea did not hesitate to claim that the verdict was a result of a rigged justice system.

In a video posted to his 2.3 million followers on X, Alex Jones said that the deep state and globalists had placed Donald Trump through a kangaroo court in order to hurt his campaign. It was Jones who said that the republic was on its deathbed, and that false-flag terror attacks were going to occur because of the verdict. He said they don’t want any violence or attacks.

Ali Alexander is a far-right conspiracy theorist. He wrote on Telegram that the day was for the entire nation. The Civil War was worse than this. Very respectfully.

That kind of rhetoric even made it to the airwaves. Jeanine Pirro said that Fox News has been calling it lawfare. I don’t think lawfare is quite as serious as it could be. This is a war.

This was a circus, a rigged trial by a judge who is corrupt. This is long from over, and we will fight for it. He wrote about what he saw on Truth Social.

Trump supporters repeated his claims of rigging. Charlie Kirk was the founder of Turning Point USA. The case was rigged for a long time from the very top of the Democrat party to bring down Trump. We need to beat these savages. Don’t stand with any other person.

The Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler said that Trump was consumed with his own thirst for revenge after his 2020 election loss. “He thinks this election is about him. But it’s not. It’s about the American people: lowering their costs, protecting their freedoms, defending their democracy.”

A group of people cheered during Trump’s speech. The night before, a crowd gathered on the street outside of Trump Tower after the verdict, chanting, “New York hates you.”

His statement came a day after he became the first president to be found guilty of a crime. Legal experts tell NPR that Trump will not face jail time.

The Justice System: Donald Trump vs. Biden and the High-Circumstantial Judgment, and Implications for the United States

He repeated several false claims about his criminal trial and complained about a gag order he continues to be under. In addition, he said he had wanted to testify in his defense but was advised against it.

“They are in total conjunction with the White House and the DOJ,” Trump said of the court. This is all done by Biden and his people.

There’s no evidence to support the claim. The case against Trump was brought by the district attorney of Manhattan, and it was not related to the White House or DOJ.

I would testify. I wanted to testify,” he said. “The theory is you never testify because as soon as you testify — anybody, if it were George Washington, don’t testify because they’ll get you on something that you said slightly wrong, and then they sue you for perjury.”

Some of the topics Trump touched on, like the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol and complaints made against him in 2022, were related.

And he also for a time went into stump-speech mode, repeating his usual anti-immigration rhetoric, saying that American schools are full of people speaking “languages that we haven’t even heard of.”
