Explosions in the Donetsk stronghold Povkrosk and the Ukraine’s Air Force: Observations from Kyiv
Several explosions shook the Ukrainian capital in the early hours. Three people were hurt and two kindergartens were damaged, because of debris from intercept missiles and drones, according to the Interior Ministry. Multiple fires were reported by city authorities.
There will be an answer to everything. The presidential office’s head, Andrii Yermak, wrote on his Telegram page that the enemy would feel it.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said emergency services were called to the Holosiivskyi and Solomianskyi districts. One person was hurt as a result of falling debris in the district.

The U.K. Defense Ministry said Sunday that Russian forces accelerated their advance on they key Donetsk stronghold Povkrosk over the past week and are likely within 10 kilometers (6 miles) of the city.

Both sides are battering each other with regular long-range drone and missile strikes, sometimes launching more than 100 weapons in aerial attacks that suggest they are still pouring resources into weapon production.
After more than 900 days of war, both sides show no signs of giving in or making a move to negotiate. The two sides are pursuing ambitious ground offensives, with the Ukrainians driving into Russia’s Kursk region and the Russian army pushing deeper into the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine.
The missiles hit when people were on their way to a bomb shelter after the air raid warning sounded, the Defense Ministry of Ukraine said.
Pronin wrote on his Telegram page about a great tragedy for the Poltava region. “The enemy certainly must answer for all (its) crimes against humanity,” he said.
The strike came on the day that Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Mongolia. There was no indication that his hosts would heed demands to arrest him on an international warrant for alleged war crimes.
Zelenskyy repeated his appeal for Ukraine’s Western partners to ensure swift delivery of military aid. He chided the U.S. and European nations for being slow in making good on their pledges.
He wants them to give Ukrainian weapons that can be used on Russian soil. Some countries don’t like hitting Russia because it could escalate the war.
“Long-range strikes that can protect us from Russian terror are needed now, not later. Every day of delay, unfortunately, means more lost lives,” he said.
A search for a missing person in the polytava building of the Institute of Communication and Defence Forces, according to a video posted by Zelenskyy
“One of the buildings of the (Poltava Military) Institute of Communications was partially destroyed. People found themselves under the rubble. Many were saved,” Zelenskyy said in a video posted on his Telegram channel.
“All necessary services are involved in the rescue operation,” he added. He ordered a full and prompt investigation into what happened. Zelenskyy didn’t provide any further details.
