The US government could legally start a reserve for Bitcoin with the cryptocurrency it has seized from various bad actors, US President Donald Trump told a cryptocurrency conference earlier this year. He proposed the government buy 200 bitcoins a year for five years until they reach 1 million. He also said the government could start the stockpile with the Bitcoin tokens it has seized.
It’s going wild for Donald Trump
Cryptocurrency investor Jesse Powell said that he donated $1 million to President Donald Trump, mostly in ether, during his Bitcoin 2024 speech at the BTC Media conference. Powell said that Trump said “they look like male models…with a big, beautiful brain” during his speech. Nearly two million came from Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, twin founders of cryptocurrency trading platform Gemini.
