A US judge has ruled that the Trump administration was violating an injunction that prevents deportation to countries other than their own without a chance to challenge their deportation order. This comes after eight immigrants who were detained in Djibouti were flown to South Sudan. Judge Murphy said the government failed to give the immigrants proper notice about their deportation before it took place.

A US judge has ordered the Department of Justice to make a sworn declaration by Tuesday about how it deported hundreds of alleged Venezuelan gang members despite his order to turn them around. He asked the DOJ to answer repeatedly questions about when the deportation flights took off, and exactly who was on board the planes. President Trump signed a proclamation invoking Alien Enemies Act.

US Secretary of Defence Noem Noem on Tuesday said the Trump administration has started transporting migrants from the US to a deportation facility in Guantnamo Bay, Cuba. He added several hundred US military service members have arrived at Guantnamo in recent days in preparation for the arrival of deported migrants. The facility will be overseen by the Department of Homeland Security.
