Pacific island’s population is false, says ancient blood

A new species of parasitic wasps has been discovered in a fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, which is a model organism of the genus Leptophysidae. The new species was found in a fruit fly from Polynesia. The fruit fly is a common food source for many birds and mammals, the scientists said.
