Trump plans to put his national security adviser at the UN
US President Donald Trump has said that he will not be leaving the House of Representatives without a UN post. “I’m sorry but I don’t think that’s the case,” he added. The UN post has been vacant since Trump asked his first choice, Elise Stefanik, to instead stay in Congress to help preserve the narrow majority Republicans hold in the House of Representatives.
The U.N. ambassador is being tapped by Trump
US President Donald Trump has nominated New York Representative Elise Stefanik to serve as the US Ambassador to the United Nations (UN). Stefanik is the Chairwoman of the House Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. If confirmed by the US Senate, she’ll replace Nikki Haley as the US Ambassador to the UN.
