The lifespan and health of genetically diverse mice are impacted by diet restriction

Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai found that food deprivation during a fast was associated with shorter lifespan. A total of 960 mice were included in the study and 937 were alive at 6 months of age. They were fasted for 4 h and Glucose was measured using OneTouch Ultra2 glucose meter from LifeScan along with OneTouch Ultra test strips.
