The gender gap in the first year of school in France was similar to the gap in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. All children who started their first year of school in France in the year of 2020 or 2021, are covered. The gap emerged across all cohort, socio-demographic groups, regions of France and the types of school.

It’s the US’ 17th Olympic gold medal. The US men’s basketball team went 6-0 in the Paris Games and won gold. The US women’s basketball team lost in the fourth quarter of their bronze medal match.
The US men’s soccer team suffered a tough loss against France at the Paris Olympics
The US men’s soccer team lost to France 0-1 in their first match at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday. France scored in the 59th minute and held on to win the match. The US women’s football team entered the Olympics with a new coach and is looking to reset after its earliest ever exit at a Women’s World Cup last year.
