The Biden administration has proposed new heat protections for workers

US President Joe Biden has proposed a rule to protect the country’s employees from heatexposure. It proposes to require that companies provide a minimum 15-minute paid rest break every two hours if the heat index is over 90C, as well as monitor employees for signs of heat-related illness or symptoms.
