France is rushing to Mayotte to aid the survivors ofCyclone Chido

At least 11 people have died after Cyclone Chido caused devastation in Mayotte in the Indian Ocean, France’s Interior Ministry said on Sunday. Mayotte prefectFranois-Xavier Bieuville said that the death toll could be in the thousands. French authorities said that more than 800 more personnel are expected to arrive in the coming days as rescuers comb through the devastation.
