It’s time for adults to act like adults on climate change

The emergence threshold for ultra-violet exposure to extreme events in a pre-industrial environment and population size from 1960 to 2020 was calculated as the 99.99th percentile of grid-scale samples of pre-industrial lifetime exposure. For each extreme event, birth year, GMT pathway and grid cell, we assess if lifetime exposure emerges or passes this threshold of extreme exposure in a pre-industrial climate.
