More than 670 people are thought to be killed in a New Britain, Australia, disaster

The International Organisation for Migration on Sunday increased the death toll from a landslide in Papua New Guinea to more than 670. Serhan Aktoprak, the chief of the UN migration agency’s mission in the South Pacific island nation, said that the revised death toll was due to calculations by the villagers and local officials.
