Marines were deployed to LA during the protests

Amid protests over US Attorney General’s removal of the National Guard from the U.S., the Los Angeles City Council has passed a resolution to “re-establish” the National Guard. The resolution calls for “safeguarding the law” and “a full restoration” of the National Guard. The resolution was presented by Councilwoman Janice Hahn and Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson.
