The human dopamine transporter has an interaction with cocaine

A study has shown that the human dopamine transporter in complex with cocaine is a novel atypical dopamine transporter (DAT) inhibitor for the treatment of cocaine use disorders. It was discovered that 3-Bis(4,fluorophenyl)methoxytropanes and 3-Bis(4,fluorophenyl)methylamino]tropanes are able to block the dopamine transporter in the fruit fly. The dopamine transporter C terminus is regulated by the dopamine transporter C terminus.
