Israel expands its attack on Iran
Israel expanded its strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities on Saturday, adding the country’s military intelligence agency Mossad was involved in the attack. The move came a day after Israel said it carried out airstrikes against Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility, which the country said was being used to test a nuclear weapon. Israel has said that it struck over 40 Iranian nuclear sites.
Iran retaliated after Israel attacked its nuclear and missile sites
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the military strike on Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility is a “final warning to Iran”. “Iran is not able to have a nuclear weapon. We’llhelp them be successful,” US President Donald Trump had earlier said. “I am calling on the entire international community…to do everything in our power to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon,” he added.
Iran responded to Israel’s missile and nuclear attacks
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said that the country’s missile strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities are a “decisive moment in Israel’s history”. “The strike will continue for as many days as it takes,” he further said. Netanyahu said Israel had targeted Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facility at Natanz. The International Atomic Energy Agency recently declared Iran in contravention of non-proliferation agreements.
