Revised historical record has a different view on global warming

To derive uncertainty ranges, we compared the ocean and land temperature reconstructions obtained independently from the Had SST4 dataset and the CRUTEM5 dataset. The observationally derived ( Delta widehatbfT_rmOtext-rmL,rmCMIP6rmGMST), including the error realisations, was compared with the equivalently masked reconstruction range of ocean and land temperatures in the CMIP6 models.
