Trump wants to cut funding for PBS and NPR
The White House has said taxpayers have been subsidizing National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), which spread “radical, woke propaganda disguised as ‘news'”. It added that there is “trash” that passes as news and “intolerance of non-leftist viewpoints”. This comes in the wake of a House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee hearing in late March.
The U.N. ambassador is being tapped by Trump
US President Donald Trump has nominated New York Representative Elise Stefanik to serve as the US Ambassador to the United Nations (UN). Stefanik is the Chairwoman of the House Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. If confirmed by the US Senate, she’ll replace Nikki Haley as the US Ambassador to the UN.
