3 people are dead after an attack on Kyiv
A student dormitory in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district was hit by a drone and one of the building’s walls was on fire, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. This comes after Russia and Ukraine released 307 more soldiers and civilians as part of a prisoner exchange. Russia claimed that its forces hit various military targets in eastern Ukraine, including missile and drone producing plants.
Americans including Evan Gershkovich are free after a prisoner swap with Russia
The Turkish government has said that it had played a “key role” in the prisoner exchange between Russia and the US. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s chief of staff, Sergei Ivanov, told Russian state news agency RIA-Novosti that Russia had released more than a dozen prisoners in exchange for Paul Whelan, an American jailed in Russia.
