What is happening in the DC jet crash investigation?

A passenger jet and a helicopter collided over the Potomac River in Washington DC on Wednesday night, killing at least three people. American Airlines said that the crash occurred as the plane was coming in to land at Washington’s Reagan National Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration said that the helicopter was carrying three US soldiers when the crash took place.
