Former US President Jimmy Carter, who passed away at the age of 100 on Sunday, is believed to be the second-oldest President in the history of the United States. His wife Rosalynn Carter was the first. He served as the country’s 43rd President from 1977 to 1980 and held the post for 18 months after being re-elected in 1976.
