The Justice Department subpoenaed communications records of eight reporters at CNN, The New York Times and The Washington Post, as part of the investigation into the sources of leaked classified information associated with US President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, a report said. The leak investigations targeted a greater number of congressional staffers, almost all of which were Republicans, it added.

The Washington Post has said that it has cancelled subscriptions of over 2 lakh people after its Publisher Will Lewis said that the paper won’t endorse in this year’s presidential race or in future elections. This comes after the paper’s Founder Jeff Bezos said that he didn’t endorse Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris due to “conflicts of interest”.
