The script of MaXXXine has been changed to give you something fresh to scream about

Talking about ‘MaXXXine’, director David West said, “I wanted to make a trilogy where you didn’t have to see the other movies.” He added, “That alienates a huge portion of the audience who would never watch a movie like ‘X’, so they won’t see ‘Pearl’. I didn’t want people to think they couldn’t see ‘Pearl’ because of the idea of ‘X’.”
