A group of rebels claim to have taken control of a city

As many as 13 United Nations (UN) peacekeepers and foreign soldiers were killed in fighting with M23 rebels in eastern Congo, the UN said on Saturday. The rebels have given the military 48 hours to lay down their arms. On Saturday, the rebels issued an ultimatum to Congolese forces defending Goma, giving them 48 hours to lay down arms.
