Nature is celebrating the inclusion of scientists in the new series Changemakers

Former President of the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), Freeman Hrabowski, said that he has been studying one hour a day for the past seven years and he jumps at every chance to speak French with others. Hrabowski was the first public university in Maryland to welcome people of all races from its opening day in 1966.
