Carter’s White House term stirs controversy for more than 40 years
Former US PresidentJimmy Carter’s chief domestic policy adviser, Eizenstat, has launched a book titled ‘President Carter: The White House years’. Eizenstat claims that the book will provide a “first-hand assessment” of Carter’s tenure as the US leader. The book says that Carter left office with his Gallup poll approval rating in the low 30s.

During an interview, US President Donald Trump said he’d like to get ex-US Vice President Dick Cheney with a rifle and start shooting at her when the guns are “trained on her face”. Trump was talking about Cheney, who was a member of the committee that investigated the riot at the White House earlier this year.

US President Donald Trump has called Vice President Kamala Harris a “very good person” and said, “I don’t know if I’ve ever seen someone so good in my life”. This comes after Vice President Joe Biden decided to drop out of the 2020 White House race. Trump added, “It’s a great thing…There are a lot of people who are looking forward to having Kamala as their nominee.”

After former US President Donald Trump was shot in his office at the White House, a pro-Trump message board member commented on a picture of Trump’s face and wrote, “I guess they really do want war.” Several other members of the message board agreed with the post. Trump’s ex-lawyer Michael Cohen was accused of helping orchestrate the shooting.

US Vice President Joe Biden met with Democrats at the White House on Thursday, two days after several Democratic leaders raised concerns about his campaign. “I think President Biden should do what’s best for the nation,” Representative Lori Trahan said. “President Biden needs to do what’s right for the nation, and look at all of the information,” she added.

His remarks came after his wife Jill Biden admitted that she had lied about her mental health.
At least 18 people perished after tornadoes ripped through parts of Texas and Oklahoma
At least five people were killed by tornadoes and severe weather in Kentucky in the US’ mid-latitude region on Sunday, authorities said. “It could’ve been much worse,” Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said. The White House said the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was on the ground conducting damage assessments with state and local authorities.
