Two Israeli Embassy staff were killed in a shooting in Washington, DC, officials say
Israel’s ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter said that Shoval Ronen, a 24-year-old diplomat at the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, and Yaron Lischinsky, a 60-year-old staff member, were shot and killed by an anti-semitic attacker. Leiter added that they were about to get married. The attacker shouted “Free Palestine” and was later arrested after being held by security officers.
