Compounding pharmacies have been making copies of semaglutide (Ozempic and Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mouniaro and Zepbound) for more than two years, a report said. Currently, two of the drugs cannot legally be compounded, but the FDA will turn a blind eye to the practice while it evaluates whether it was right to end the shortage earlier this fall.
